Chartwell Pennsylvania, LP Earns URAC Accreditation in Specialty Pharmacy: The designation demonstrates the highest level of commitment to quality healthcare.
June 20, 2018
(PITTSBURGH, PA) — Chartwell is proud to announce that it has earned URAC Accreditation in Specialty Pharmacy. URAC is the independent leader in promoting healthcare quality through accreditation, certification and measurement. By achieving this status, Chartwell has demonstrated a comprehensive commitment to quality care, improved processes and better patient outcomes.
Chartwell’s Specialty Pharmacy program, developed in 2010 after successfully servicing home infusion patients for 20 years, has shipped to more than 130,000 specialty pharmacy patients in just eight years.
In that same stretch, Chartwell has obtained two ACHC accreditations — one with a Distinction in Oncology — in addition to the most recent URAC Accreditation in Specialty Pharmacy.
Chartwell President, Kathleen Patrick, credits the achievement on the excellence of Chartwell’s clinical staff and their patient-centric philosophy.
“This designation is another confirmation that patient care is always our number one priority,” said Patrick. “Our programs and processes are 100% focused on making sure our patients are taken care of with the same attention and concern we would expect for our own family members. I couldn’t be prouder of this organization.”
Chartwell Specialty Pharmacy Director, Michael Jarzynka, PhD, RPh, recognizes the importance of viewing the whole patient, not just the diagnosis, and echoes Chartwell’s patient-focused philosophy.
“We pride ourselves in understanding the clinical and financial needs of our patients,” said Jarzynka. “Each patient has unique needs, and our staff make it a point to remember that every day.”
“It’s necessary for specialty pharmacies to provide a higher level of treatment for patients so desired outcomes are achieved. Chartwell shows a dedication to patient education and safety through the recognition of quality it received with URAC’s independent accreditation,” said URAC President and CEO Kylanne Green. “With URAC accreditation, people know that Chartwell strives to adhere to industry best practices.”
